Dongnae seonsaeng gyojeong buksa sangjeol (Commentary on the History of the Northern Dynasties), Volumes 4 and 5
동래선생교정북사상절 권4, 5 · 東萊先生校正北史詳節 卷四, 五

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krA work edited by Lü Zuqian of Song, printed in the reign of King Taejong of Joseon in Gyemija, the bronze type cast in 1403, the third year of his reign. Gyemija is a precious source for the history of type-casting and typesetting in Goryeo and Joseon, but it was used only briefly and surviving copies are rare. Volume 4 had leaves 2 to 29, with leaf 1 missing, so 28 leaves remain; volume 5 survives entire, leaves 1 to 19. Damp has faded the covers, and characters cannot be read in places. Pale yellow covers were added front and back and reinforced with pale blue cotton. It measures 10.7 cm by 29.7 cm. The printing is finer and clearer than in other Gyemija books. It is valued for having been printed in Gyemija and as an important source for the study of Goryeo and Joseon typefaces.
