Gold Earrings of the Queen Consort of King Muryeong
무령왕비 금귀걸이 · 武寧王妃 金製耳飾

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krTwo pairs of Baekje earrings from the Tomb of King Muryeong in Gongju, 11.8 cm and 8.8 cm long. They are the queen's, made by linking small ornaments to a thick ring. One pair is elaborate, with a long and a short pendant; the other has a single pendant. The long pendant of the first pair links many round ornaments on a chain of twisted gold wire, with eight round ornaments on small rings at the very bottom and a bullet-shaped ornament below them. The short pendant is made in almost the same way as the other pair's but has no bullet ornament; instead it carries a leaf-shaped ornament and a round pale green jade. One pair is kept at the National Museum of Korea and one at Gongju National Museum.
