About 1 km along the road from Damyang-eup towards Sunchang, a broad, level plain opens out; there is no trace of a temple site, and this stone pagoda stands alone in the middle of the fields. The pagoda consists of a five-story body raised on a single-tier foundation, and its finial has been completely lost. The foundation is unusually low compared with other pagodas, and it is also an unusual feature that the width of the topmost stone of the foundation is narrower than that of the first-storey roof stone. The body of the pagoda diminishes appropriately in size from bottom to top, giving a stable impression, and from the second storey upward, thick supporting blocks are carved beneath the body stones to bear their weight, showing a characteristic feature of Goryeo-period stone pagodas. The roof stones are thick, the eaves slope downward, and the four corners are lightly upturned. There are also holes at the corners that appear to have held wind chimes, suggesting the pagoda's original decorative appearance. It is notable that the pagoda stands on former Baekje territory and appears to have been made in imitation of the Five-story Stone Pagoda at Jeongnimsa Temple Site in Buyeo.
