The gold waist belt from the South Mound of Hwangnamdaechong Tomb is a belt (gwadae) with hanging pendants (yopae) found in Hwangnamdaechong, a Silla tomb of the Three Kingdoms period located in the King Michu Royal Tomb district of Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju. Hwangnamdaechong consists of two mounds, one to the south and one to the north, joined together in the shape of a gourd. The belt is 99 cm long, with small pendants measuring 18-22 cm and a large pendant measuring 79.5 cm. It is made up of pierced, patterned rectangular plaques linked together with 34 leaf-shaped ornaments. Below the leaf ornaments hang seven strands of pendants, one long and six short. Buckles are attached to both ends of the belt so that it can be fastened together.
