재조본 유가사지론 권64 · 再雕本 瑜伽師地論 卷六十四

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe Yogacarabhumi Sastra is a fundamental treatise of the Yogacara school, written by the Indian bodhisattva Maitreya and translated into Chinese by Xuanzang of Tang China; it comprises 100 volumes arranged in the order of the Thousand Character Classic. This volume is one of the woodblock editions of the Second Tripitaka Koreana, printed by the Daejang Dogam (Directorate for the Tripitaka) in the 33rd year of King Gojong of Goryeo (1246), and is Volume 64 of the complete set of 100. It is a woodblock print on mulberry-bark paper, made so that it can be rolled up and stored like a scroll; twenty-six sheets, each 36.8 cm high and 49 cm wide, are joined together to form it. Various editions of the Second Tripitaka Koreana survive, but it is rare to find one printed with such fine craftsmanship, on thick mulberry-bark paper, with its original cover and title still intact. Given the clarity and precision of the printing, it is presumed to have been printed sometime between the 13th and 14th centuries.
