Yogacarabhumi Sastra (Discourse on the Stages of Yogic Practice), the Second Tripitaka Koreana Edition, Volume 55
재조본 유가사지론 권55 · 再雕本 瑜伽師地論 卷五十五

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe Yogacarabhumi Sastra is a fundamental treatise of the Yogacara school, containing 100 volumes of writing by the bodhisattva Maitreya of India, translated by Xuanzang of the Tang dynasty and arranged in the order of the Thousand Character Classic. It is a woodblock print on mulberry paper in scroll form, made by joining twenty-six sheets each measuring 36.8 cm by 49 cm. A record at the end of the book shows that, although this volume precedes Volume 64 of the Yogacarabhumi Sastra (a treasure) in sequence, its woodblocks were carved a year later, in 1247, the thirty-fourth year of King Gojong of Goryeo. The quality and size of the paper are identical to those of Volume 64, and this volume too appears to have been printed sometime between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
