This Joseon-dynasty jar stands 31.7 cm high, with a mouth diameter of 8 cm and a foot diameter of 9.9 cm. Below the neck the body gradually swells to its fullest width in the lower section, then narrows again toward the foot, giving the piece a well-balanced, stable form. The mouth flares outward like a trumpet, while the neck is narrow. Two or three white-inlaid lines encircle the body, with scrolling vine and stylised lotus designs filling the spaces between them. Three lotus flowers are placed around the centre of the body, their stems and leaves linked by scrolling vines. The remaining background is filled with a white-inlaid raindrop pattern, made up of marks resembling falling drops of rain. The outlines of the lotus flowers and leaves are rendered in white inlay, while the interior details are picked out in black inlay, giving the decoration a striking effect. The proportions between the vessel's form and its pattern are well balanced and cohesive, and the decoration is neat and carefully executed, without any disorder. Glaze covers the entire surface, but its uneven application has left the surface slightly uneven.
