This stone pagoda stands on the former site of Wondangsa Temple. Wondangsa was abolished in the mid-Joseon period, and since the 1950s Bultapsa Temple has been newly built on the site in its place. The pagoda consists of a single-tiered base topped by a five-story tower body, finished with a finial ornament, and a stone wall encircles it. Three sides of the base, excluding the rear, are lightly carved with ansang (niche-shaped motifs), cut so that the baseline of the pattern rises up like a flower design. On the south face of the first-story body stone is a niche for enshrining a Buddha image. The roof stones have a fairly gentle slope on their upper surfaces, but rise distinctly upward at each of the four corners. The finial atop the tower, being made of a different material from the stones below, is presumed to be a later addition. Given that the overall form of the pagoda shows little formative refinement and appears somewhat heavy, it is thought to have been made in the late Goryeo period, when strong regional character prevailed.
