White Porcelain Moon Jar (2005-1)

This white porcelain moon jar has a round, spherical body that appears to swell slightly wider than its height; although the diameter of its foot is about 80% that of its mouth, its overall proportions are neat and stable. The heights of the mouth and foot suit each other well, and the join in the body is relatively seamless, with almost no sagging or twisting. The glaze and clay body are fairly stable; although the glaze layer is thin, it has fused completely with the clay body, and is a clear glaze with a very faint, pale yellowish-brown tint. Part of the rim has been repaired, but the overall condition is very good.
