This Baekje-period mountain fortress on Wolmyeongsan Mountain in Neungsan-ri, Buyeo, was built to defend Sabi, the capital of Baekje at the time. It is about 5–6 km in circumference and was constructed of earth and stone. Much of the wall has collapsed, but the western section survives relatively well. A drainage outlet appears to have been located in the western wall, where a valley stream flows through, and since the fortress was built for defence, it seems to have had no south gate, which would have allowed an enemy to enter easily. Within the fortress today are a tall watchtower built to observe enemy movements, a well site said to be called Gaksi Well, and building sites known as Gyeongnyongsa Temple site and Uiyeolsa Temple site. As the largest of the Baekje mountain fortresses, it holds great significance, together with Seokseongsanseong Fortress, Seongheungsanseong Fortress and Jeungsanseong Fortress, as an outer defence facility protecting the capital.
