This is an earthen mountain fortress of Baekje date, on a low hill 500 m east of Busosan Mountain. It was built in the sixth year of King Mu of Baekje (605), together with the Naseong (the outer town wall of the capital), to guard the route linking Sabi to Ungjin. The northern wall of this outer fortress connects with the Naseong, suggesting that it was built to reinforce a weak point in the Naseong and strengthen its defences. Rather than an independent fortress, it appears to have been a subsidiary fortress linked to Busosanseong Fortress to help protect Sabi, the Baekje capital. It seems to have had a double structure, an inner wall of roughly 300 m and an outer wall of roughly 500 m, though almost nothing of the inner wall now survives. It is a temoe-sik fortress, a type built encircling the summit of a hill, and the outline of the northeastern wall is relatively well preserved. Traces of what appear to be building sites of the period remain in the western and northern parts of the fortress interior.
