This tomb is located on a ridge extending south-east from Geumgwibong Peak. The ridge is so narrow that it can barely accommodate a single tomb, and steep, deep valleys fall away on either side, making it an auspicious site by the principles of pungsu, or geomancy. Nearby are scattered the graves of ordinary people from the Goryeo and Joseon periods; the tomb was badly damaged when discovered, but it has since been restored to its original form. Internally it is a box-shaped double stone-lined chamber tomb: a pit was dug, its walls lined with stone slabs, and stone outer coffins set inside, forming what is known as a tunnel-entrance stone-chamber tomb. The western stone chamber contained a single wooden coffin, while the eastern stone chamber is said to have been empty. Both chambers have walls plastered with lime and painted with figures in black, green and brown. On the east wall of the eastern chamber are painted six celestial maidens, and faint characters appear on the north wall. On the west wall of the western chamber, the faces of two women and one man have been identified. The murals depict figures playing musical instruments, executed with free and lively brushwork; Buddhist ideas form the central theme, while elements of Taoism are also present. Together with the murals discovered at Beopdangbang near Gaeseong, this is one of the few valuable Goryeo mural tombs known.
