This is a temple site located amid paddy fields on the western foot of Dodangsan Mountain, where only stones and roof-tile fragments now remain. The temple stood in the early Unified Silla period, and a story is told concerning Kim Yu-sin and a gisaeng (a professional female entertainer) named Cheongwan. In his youth, Kim Yu-sin fell in love with Cheongwan and spent much time with her, but after being scolded by his mother he vowed never to see her again. One day his horse, out of habit, carried the drunken Yu-sin to Cheongwan's house; Yu-sin coldly cut off the horse's head and turned away from her. Grieved by this, Cheongwan took her own life, and afterwards Yu-sin built Cheongwansa Temple on the site of her house to pray for the repose of her soul.
