The Dinosaur Fossil Site on Aduseom Island, Sacheon, has well-developed dinosaur egg nests and trackways left by sauropod and theropod dinosaurs. The entire island is presumed to have been a dinosaur habitat, giving it high value for palaeoecological research; in particular, the dinosaur egg fossil nests found here are comparable to those at Hwaseong and Boseong. Dinosaur bone fossils discovered at several locations are rarely found elsewhere in Korea and are assessed as having very high academic value. Aduseom Island is currently designated as a restricted-access area to protect the fossil site, and anyone wishing to enter for management or academic purposes must obtain permission from the head of the Korea Heritage Service.
