Pungsan-ri village, at the foot of low hills bordering the Naju plain, is home to the Pungsan Hong clan. The main house and gate quarters are said to have been built in the early 1900s, while the men's quarters is presumed to date from the mid-1700s. Entering the gate at the southern end of the gate quarters, one crosses one side of the sarang courtyard, passes the southern side of the men's quarters, and enters the main house; the buildings from the main house to the gate quarters are arranged in an almost straight line. The main house has, on the left, a two-bay kitchen; at the front, a kitchen room, a two-bay large room and a wooden-floored hall, with a one-bay side room at the end. Behind the hall is a storage room, and behind the side room is a firebox. Narrow verandas, a wooden veranda and a storeroom were added behind the main room and hall by extending the eaves. In the men's quarters, the wooden-floored hall is placed at the southern end so that, together with the narrow veranda, it forms a spacious area. Beside the hall are two sarang rooms, which can be divided by a door in the middle or opened into one space. The gate quarters consist, from the south, of the gate passage, two storerooms, a shed and an ash store, additions made in recent times.
