These are two pagodas standing side by side to the east of Daeungjeon Hall at Bukjijangsa Temple. Bukjijangsa Temple is said to have been founded by State Preceptor Bojo in the 22nd year of King Myeongjong of Goryeo (1192), but nothing is known of its history afterwards. Each pagoda has a three-storey body raised on a two-tier base, and the two are almost identical in scale and form. Pillar-shaped carvings appear on the body stones of both the base and the storeys above. The roof stones slope gently on their upper surfaces, have four tiers of eaves-supports on their undersides, and their four corners curl up slightly. Having been buried underground or scattered in the surrounding area, the pagodas were newly restored to their present form in 1981.
