Yonghwa-dong Three-story Stone Pagoda
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

This stone pagoda stands in a field at the entrance to Yonghwa-dong, with a three-storey body set on a two-tiered base. Corner pillars are carved on both tiers of the base and on the body stones of each storey. The underside of the roof stones carries four tiers of eaves-supports on the first and second storeys and three tiers on the third, with the four corners curving slightly upward. Part of the topmost stone of the base is broken and the finial that once crowned the pagoda has been lost, but the other elements survive in relatively good condition. Overall, the proportions and balance between its parts give the pagoda a sense of stability, and it is thought to have been erected in the late Unified Silla period.
