This pagoda stood at an old temple site in Sangcheon-ri village, Hapcheon, South Gyeongsang Province, until it was moved and re-erected at its present site by Dong-A University in Busan in 1960. The base stone at the bottom of the platform was newly made at the time of the move, and a one-tier platform and a three-story body were set on top of it. Pillar shapes are carved at the corners of each stone of both the platform and the body. The thick roof stones have three-tiered supports on their undersides, with the four corners slightly upturned. Overall, the proportions of each storey are well balanced, giving a simple, unadorned impression. It is presumed to have been built sometime between the late Goryeo and early Joseon periods.
