This is the shrine and grave of Grand Prince Hyoryeong (1396–1486), the second son of King Taejong of Joseon and elder brother of King Sejong. His personal name was Bo, his courtesy name Seonsuk, and his posthumous title Jeonghyo. From childhood he was intelligent, fond of reading and archery, and deeply filial towards his parents. In the tenth year of King Sejo's reign (1464) he supervised the founding of Wongaksa Temple, and being a devout Buddhist, he gathered monks to lecture on the sutras. The shrine enshrines the spirit tablet of Grand Prince Hyoryeong. It was rebuilt and repaired during the reigns of King Yeongjo and King Jeongjo.
