Master Bogam Stupa at Yeongwonsa Temple Site, Miryang
Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr · no licence stated

Various parts of this stupa, said to come from the former site of Yeongwonsa Temple, had lain scattered about; they were gathered and re-erected at the present location in November 1974. It is presumed to be the stupa enshrining the relics of State Preceptor Bogam, a monk of the Goryeo period. It is basically octagonal in plan; the body stone of the main section is missing, and only the pedestal and the roof stone remain. The pedestal is lavishly decorated with carvings of ansang panel motifs, swirling cloud patterns and lotus designs. The roof stone imitates wooden architecture, even reproducing the ridges of roof tiles and the eave-end tiles. Overall, the stupa carries elaborate and ornate decoration, carrying on the style of the late Unified Silla period.
