This pagoda was moved here during the Japanese colonial period from an old temple site elsewhere in Hoengseong-gun; having lost its base stone and platform, only its three-storey body survives. The body stone and roof stone of each remaining storey were each carved from a single block. The body stones decrease considerably in height from the first storey to the second, and the third storey is slightly smaller than the second. The roof stones grow moderately smaller going upward, giving a sense of stability; each has four tiers of supports on its underside, a steep upper slope, and corners that curve up slightly. On top of the third-storey roof stone is a small hole about 6cm across, where the finial appears to have been fitted. With the platform missing, the pagoda's overall form cannot be known, but its body is compact and well balanced. Judging from the style of the roof stones and the carving technique, it is presumed to be a work of the mid-Goryeo period.
