범어사 청룡암시 목판 · 梵魚寺 靑龍巖詩 木板

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThese woodblocks are carved from the autograph manuscripts of two poems, "Cheongnyongam-si" and "Beomeosa Jeungdowon Seonin", written by Yi An-nul (1571–1637), who served as magistrate of Dongnae from February 1608 to July 1609 in the mid-Joseon period. Yi An-nul was a mid-Joseon civil official who passed the state examination at the age of twenty-nine and held a succession of posts; when the Manchu invasion of 1636 broke out he accompanied the king to Namhansanseong Fortress, and after returning he fell seriously ill and died. He excelled at writing poetry, leaving behind the enormous number of 4,379 poems in his collected works. While serving as magistrate of Dongnae, Yi An-nul frequently visited Beomeosa Temple. On one occasion the temple elder Hyechang asked him to compose a poem to be carved on a rock there, and the poem Yi An-nul wrote and had carved is the "Cheongnyongam-si". These woodblocks serve as a basic source of material for the study of local history.
