범어사 어산집 책판 · 梵魚寺 魚山集 冊板

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThese woodblocks number 30 in total. According to the printing record, they were first printed in 1700 (the 26th year of King Sukjong) at Beomeosa Temple on Geumjeongsan Mountain, within Dongnae Dohobu (the garrison prefecture of Dongnae). Beompae refers to chants that praise the merits of the Buddha, and eosan is a type of beompae, so this book can be called a beomeumjip, a collection of Buddhist chant music. The book printed from these woodblocks survives only in the collection of Beomeosa Temple, and is therefore extremely valuable. In particular, the Dongeumjip held by Bak Un-wol is missing many passages among its 53 jitsori, the long, drawn-out chants of sutra recitation performed during Buddhist rites, whereas the Seosanjip woodblocks held at Beomeosa contain every jitsori in full. They are valued as precious historical material for the study of beomeum and beompae centred on Beomeosa Temple.
