This is a manuscript in one volume of 17 leaves (34 × 20 cm). In the first month of 1834 — the 24th year of King Sunjo of Joseon, a gapo year — Kim Yeong-rak, acting on the order of the defence commissioner (bangeosa) Han Eung-ho, produced six copies and distributed one each to the local Confucian school (hyanggyo), Gyullim Seowon (a Confucian academy), the local council office (hyangcheong), the garrison office (yeongcheong), Daejeong Hakdang and Jeongui Hakdang. This particular copy had been kept at the garrison office. It records the conduct of sixty-one people of Jeju, in the following order: twenty-six filial sons, five virtuous wives, twenty-seven chaste women, and three righteous men.
