Yi Hyeon-bo was a writer of sijo, one of the representative literary figures of the Joseon period celebrated for his poems on nature, and he occupies an important place in the history of Korean literature. The shrine measures three bays across the front and three bays deep, with a gable roof (matbae) whose sides form the shape of the character 人 (person).
