Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis stone lantern, in Silla style, is known to have been erected at the time Seongjusa Temple was founded in the late Unified Silla period. Compared with the roof stone, the chamber that houses the light and its supporting pillar were carved slender; the finial atop the octagonal roof stone is damaged. The lantern stands 220 cm high and is made of granite. Having once been broken apart, its pieces were later gathered and the lantern restored to its present form.
