This is a single-volume woodblock-printed book containing the sermons of the Indian monk Master Jigong. According to its publication record, it was reprinted in 1475, the sixth year of King Seongjong, at Baegunam Hermitage on Baegunsan Mountain in Jeolla-do. The first half of the book contains gathas (verses composed for easy memorisation that praise the Buddha's virtues) by Shakyamuni, the venerable Kasyapa and various other venerable disciples (an honorific for the Buddha's disciples of great learning and virtue), together with Master Jigong's own gathas, followed by an appended hymn to Seonbong and a discourse on the conduct of Bodhidharma. The second half records Master Jigong's sermons in the form of questions and answers accompanied by gathas. This book, little known until now, is regarded as important material for understanding the pattern of exchange with Yuan-dynasty Buddhism in the late Goryeo period.
