범어사 선종영가집 · 梵魚寺 禪宗永嘉集

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is a two-volume, single-fascicle work recording the Dharma teachings of Hyeon-gak of Tang China, with commentary added by Haeng-jeong of Song China. The term "Yeongga" refers to Great Master Yeongga Hyeon-gak, so called because he was a native of Yeongga. Beomeosa Temple holds two versions: one printed in 1542, the 37th year of King Jungjong, and another that is a later reprint of an edition made in 1525, the 20th year of King Jungjong. The book gathers only the essential teachings of the Seon school, and its contents comprise the sections "Modojii," "Gyegyosaui," "Jeongsusameop," "Samatasong," "Bibasana," "Upilchasong," "Samseungjeomcha," "Isabuli," "Gwonuinseo" and "Balwonmun." Predating the Japanese invasions of 1592–1598, it is important material for the study of woodblock-printed publications.
