This village school was built by Eungok Bak Jin, first constructed in 1537, the 32nd year of King Jungjong of Joseon, in Cheonjeon-dong, Imha-myeon. Having long stood in disrepair, it was rebuilt in 1645, the 23rd year of King Injo, by a number of Confucian scholars, and in 1974 it was relocated to its present site owing to the flooding caused by the construction of Andong Dam. Two buildings survive: the school hall and the residential quarters. The school hall measures four kan across the front and two kan along the side, has a straight, single-row plan, and a hipped-and-gabled roof whose side takes the shape of the character 八 (eight). The residential quarters, an auxiliary building standing in front, measure seven kan across the front and three kan along the side, in a U-shaped plan.
