양효공 안맹담과 정의공주 묘역 · 良孝公 安孟聃과 貞懿公主 墓域

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThis is the tomb and sindobi (a stele set up beside the road near a tomb to honour the lifetime achievements of a king or high official) of Yanghyogong Anmaengdam (1415–1462), husband of Princess Jeonguigongju, daughter of King Sejong of Joseon. Anmaengdam became a buma (the king's son-in-law) in 1428, the tenth year of King Sejong, and was made Lord Jukseong; in 1432, the fourteenth year of King Sejong, he was made Lord Yeonchang; and in 1457, the third year of King Sejo, he was named a Wonjong Meritorious Subject. The tomb is a twin mound shared with Princess Jeonguigongju, with two burial mounds standing side by side, and in front of them stand a stone lantern and four stone civil-official figures. The sindobi erected below the burial ground has its stele body set on a turtle-shaped base stone and topped with a capstone. The turtle carving on the base and the two dragon carvings on the capstone are exceptionally fine and intricate. The inscription was composed by Jeong In-ji, and the calligraphy was written by Anmaengdam's fourth son, Binse.
