This stone pagoda stands in the front courtyard of Danhosa Temple's Daeungjeon Hall. The present site appears to be its original location, with the body of the pagoda placed atop a single-tier base. Each face of the base has pillar-shaped carvings at the corners and in the centre, some of which are slightly damaged. The body stones of the pagoda likewise have pillar-shaped carvings at their corners. The first-storey body stone is fairly tall, and a stone that appears to be part of a fourth-storey body stone is also present, suggesting that the pagoda may originally have had five storeys. Each roof stone is thick and plain, with a steeply sloping surface, and the underside carries three-tiered supports. Whereas pagodas in the Chungju region are usually located on mountains, this pagoda stands on level ground, which makes it distinctive. Although small in scale, it is a well-proportioned stone pagoda that faithfully observes formal conventions, and the form of its single-tier base and roof stones suggest that it was built in the late Goryeo period.
