Sunheung An Clan Yangdogong Branch Burial Ground
KOGL Type 1Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.kr

This is the burial ground of three generations of the Sunheung An clan's Yangdogong branch, descendants of a meritorious subject who helped found the early Joseon dynasty. The site contains three burial mounds, three sindobi (spirit-path steles, erected beside the road near a tomb to commemorate the lifetime achievements of a king or high official), three gravestones, eight stone figures of civil and military officials, and two jangmyeongdeung, stone lanterns placed in front of a grave. The tombs are well preserved in their original form, making it possible to understand the style of early Joseon burial grounds, and the stone figures erected in front of the graves provide important material for studying how tomb design changed over time.
