The Sangseolgomunjinbodaejeon is an anthology of poetry and prose that was used as a textbook in village schools (seodang) during the Joseon dynasty, for learning the evolution of classical Chinese literary style and its rules of composition. It was compiled by Hwang Gyeon, a scholar of the late Song dynasty. Comprising 20 volumes bound as 10 books, it collects poetry and prose written from the Warring States period down to the late Song dynasty, arranged in a first collection and a second collection: the first collection contains poetry, and the second contains prose. This book is valued as material for examining the level of education provided in seodang village schools of the period.
