An old house in Jigok-ri, consisting of an L-shaped anchae, the main house, along with a straight-lined gokganchae, a storehouse wing, and munganchae, a gate quarters. A sarangchae, the men's quarters, once stood behind the anchae, but only traces of it remain today, and geonneonbang, the room across the hall, now serves its function. In front of the kitchen is a gobang, a storeroom for keeping food, and a plank wall separates the kitchen from the storeroom, a technique found only in old houses of this kind. A wall surrounds the munganchae to separate it from the outer yard, and a wall was also set up at the main gateway so that the interior of the house could not be seen from outside. Notably, a wall was also built between the anchae and the gokganchae, creating a sense of privacy and a cosy atmosphere for the geonneonbang, which now functions as the sarangchae — a distinctive feature of this house.
