Nambok-ri Five-story Stone Pagoda
남복리오층석탑 · 南福里五層石塔

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe pagoda consists of a five-storey body set on a two-tiered stone platform. The lower tier of the platform is assembled from four flat stones, while the upper tier has pillar shapes carved at each corner. On the topmost stone of the platform is a tall support block into which a railing pattern has been carved, an unusual feature of this pagoda. On all four sides of the first-storey body stone, the centre has been shallowly hollowed out in a rectangular shape. Each roof stone carries five tiers of eaves-supports on its underside. At the top, the finial survives with its base stone and an overturned-bowl-shaped ornament forming the crowning decoration.
