This pagoda stands on a site traditionally said to have been the grounds of Cheongnimsa Temple. The stone pagoda has a base built in two tiers to support the weight of the whole structure, topped by a body of three storeys, though it is thought to have originally had five. It is relatively small in scale, and each part is partly damaged. The base is poorly proportioned, since the topmost stones of both its lower and upper tiers look excessively large in relation to the body above. Each roof stone of the body is thin and small, with a three-tiered support carved into its underside. The roof slopes gently before curving slightly upward at the four corners, giving it a sense of curved beauty. Although it lacks overall balance, with its long, slender body and overly wide base, it shows a style unique to this region, and is presumed to be a work of the Goryeo period.
