This is the tombstone of General Kim Eung-ha (1580–1619), a Joseon military official, standing in Hyanggyo-gol. Kim Eung-ha passed the military service examination in the 38th year of King Seonjo (1605) and entered official service. In the 10th year of King Gwanghaegun (1618), when the Jurchens' Geonju Guard rose in rebellion, Ming China requested troops from Joseon; he went to Ming as a reinforcement and died fighting valiantly. In recognition of this service, Ming conferred on him the title Lord of Yodong and sent silver to his wife and children, while the Joseon court posthumously raised his rank to Chief State Councillor. The stele stands on a turtle-shaped base with a roof-stone above. It was erected in the ninth year of King Sukjong (1683); the inscription was composed by Song Si-yeol (pen name Uam), the calligraphy was written by Bak Tae-yu, and the title of the stele was written by Kim Su-hang.
