This three-story stone pagoda stands within the stone wall of a private house in the village of Ha-ri, and is a mojeonseoktap, a form rare in this region that imitates a brick pagoda. A mojeonseoktap is made by cutting stone into brick-like blocks and stacking them in imitation of a jeontap, a pagoda built of clay bricks; although this pagoda is not actually made of brick, it is given this name because parts of it show the style of a brick pagoda. It consists of a three-story body raised directly on natural bedrock, and the brick-pagoda style is especially visible in its roof stones: whereas an ordinary stone pagoda has tiers of moulding only on the underside of the roof stone, this pagoda also has tiers on the upper side. This borrows only the appearance of the tiered roof-stone form that arises naturally from brick construction, reproducing it in stone. The pagoda is presumed to date from the Goryeo dynasty, and the presence of another three-story stone pagoda in the same village suggests that this was once the site of a Buddhist temple.
