The Sibijeon Hall of Bocheonsa Temple, built in Jeongeup, Jeollabuk-do in 1922, was relocated here in 1938 and used as the Daeungjeon Hall of Taegosa Temple before being renamed Daeungjeon Hall of Jogyesa Temple. The Daeungjeon Hall measures seven bays across the front and four bays along the side, with a hip-and-gable roof whose profile resembles the character 八. The bracket sets that decorate and support the roof eaves are placed both above the pillars and between them, in the multi-bracket, or dapo, style. In particular, the doors in every wall are fitted with latticework carved into flower patterns, giving the building artistic splendour and refinement. A distinctive feature of this building is that, although built in the 1920s, it adopts the architectural style of the late Joseon period while achieving an enlargement in the scale of the hall.
