Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krConsidering the Daedong yeojido (Map of Korea) and other records and artefacts together, the temple site at Heungjeon-ri is presumed to have been the location of a Silla-period temple called Dongaksa. Scattered around the site are stone materials such as a pagoda and a stone lantern. The pagoda closely follows the typical style of Unified Silla stone pagodas, but its base is unusually formed in three tiers rather than the usual two. Although it now lies collapsed, most of its stone components survive almost perfectly intact and unbroken. They are presumed to be the remains of a pagoda erected in the late Unified Silla period.
