This is a stele standing in front of Sujeonggyo Bridge at Beopjusa Temple. It was erected in 1666, the seventh year of King Hyeonjong of Joseon; the inscription was composed by Song Si-yeol (pen name Uam), a scholar of great renown at the time, and written out in calligraphy by Song Jun-gil (pen name Dongchundang). The content of the inscription concerns a story associated with Geobuk Rock, atop Sujeongbong Peak on Songnisan Mountain, and it clearly reveals the relationship between Buddhism and Confucianism.
