하연 경재문집 목판 · 河演 敬齋文集 木板

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThese are the printing woodblocks for the collected poetry and prose of Ha Yeon (河演, pen name Gyeongjae, 1376–1453), a civil official under King Sejong of the Joseon dynasty. Ha Yeon was an early Joseon civil official and a disciple of Jeong Mong-ju. He passed the state examination in 1396 and rose through a succession of posts, holding high offices such as Daesaheon (Inspector-General), Hyeongjo Panseo (Minister of Justice), and Jwachamchan (Left State Councillor). The woodblocks were compiled from Ha Yeon's scattered manuscripts by his fifth-generation descendant Ha Heun and printed in woodblock edition at Haeinsa Temple in Hapcheon in the first year of King Gwanghaegun (1609). At the time they were not issued separately but were edited and printed as part of the Jinyangyeongo; the Gyeongjaejip itself comprises five volumes bound in three books. They were reprinted by Ha Dae-won and others in the twenty-sixth year of King Sunjo (1826), and in the eighth year of King Cheoljong (1857) the descendant Ha Dal-hae and others gathered the scattered poems and writings from the Jinyangyeongo and reprinted them again at Urok Seowon. In 1920 the descendant Ha Sul-hyo and others re-carved and reprinted the woodblock edition in Miryang.
