Daejijaesa Temple
대지재사 · 大枝齋舍

This building was constructed to hold memorial rites for Heobaekdang Kim Yang-jin (1467–1535), a civil official of the mid-Joseon period. Kim Yang-jin held numerous official posts, and is said to have led a life of great scholarly attainment and personal integrity. The building has five bays across the front and two bays to the side, with a hip-and-gable roof whose roofline, seen from the side, resembles the Chinese character 八 (meaning eight), and the surrounding buildings are arranged in a U-shaped layout. The joinery techniques used inside the building, together with the structural methods used for fitting the doors, well preserve the architectural style of the mid-Joseon period, making this a valuable resource.
