Daeheung-dong Hall was first built in 1407, the seventh year of King Taejong, at the start of the Joseon dynasty. It was converted for use as the Daeheung township office in 1914, and was dismantled, restored, and refurbished in 1979. Daeheung-dong Hall retains its basic structure well and is the only surviving government office building in the Yesan region; together with the Daeheung Hyanggyo (Confucian school), built in 1405, it is a structure that testifies to the history of the Daeheung region, giving it historical and architectural conservation value.
