이로 송암문집 및 이만승 괴당집책판 · 李魯 松巖文集 및 李曼勝 槐堂集 木板

Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krThe Songam Munjip woodblocks were made to disseminate the collected literary works of Yi Ro (pen name Songam, 1544–1598); the collection comprises six volumes in three books. It contains, in particular, recruitment appeals and strategic memoranda, whose writing and content are highly regarded. Yi Ro passed the jinsa examination in 1564 and the munkwa examination in 1590, and held posts including local magistrate and a position in the Office of the Censor-General. During the Japanese invasions of 1592 he took part in righteous-army, or volunteer militia, activities under Kim Seong-il. After his death he was posthumously granted the title of Minister of Personnel. The Goedangjip is a testament left by Yi Man-seung (pen name Goedang) to his two sons, urging them to serve the state loyally and to live together in brotherly affection.
