This pagoda stands within the grounds of the Galpyeong Branch Office; it had been taken by the Japanese during the Japanese colonial period, but local residents recovered it and moved it to this site. The pagoda has a single-tier platform (gidan) supporting the whole weight of the structure, above which rises a five-storey body (tapsin). On each of the four sides of the platform, pillar shapes are carved at the corners and in the centre. The thick roof stones of the body have a gentle slope on the upper surface and four-tiered supports underneath. At the top, a noban (a flat disc supporting the finial) and a bokbal (an ornament shaped like an overturned bowl) remain, forming the finial. The pagoda gives an overall impression of weight, yet still feels stable despite its five storeys. Judging from its refined technique, it is presumed to have been built in the late Unified Silla period.
