This place in Dongmun-dong, where the five-storey stone pagoda and a pair of flagpole supports stand, is still called Daesa-dong ("great temple village") today, because a large temple is said to have stood here during the Goryeo period. The five-storey pagoda, located about 50 m from the flagpole supports, now retains only three storeys. The body of the pagoda rests on the covering stone of a two-tier base, but only the first three storeys survive; the fourth and fifth storeys and the finial have all been lost. Both the roof stones and body stones are each carved from a single block, the roof-stone supports are in four tiers, and the four corners of the roof stones curve upward. It is a typical stone pagoda of the Goryeo period, showing an elegant rate of diminution toward the top.
