Korea Heritage Service · khs.go.krGyou Yun Ju-ha (1837–1908) was a leading Confucian scholar of his day in Geochang, who devoted his whole life to the study of Neo-Confucianism and trained more than eighty students at Dongcheonjae. The printing woodblocks for his collected works were made as follows: after his death in 1906, his disciples Yi Seung-nae, Yi Yeong-hun and Bak Jong-gwon completed the funeral rites in 1907 and transcribed his surviving manuscripts; in 1908 Gwak Jong-seok divided the material into a main collection and a supplementary collection; his disciples Yun Hui-do, Choe Hyo-geun and Yun Jeong-ha then made fair copies, and Jeong Jae-hui and Kim Jae-myeong proofread the text to complete the work. The collected works comprise ten volumes, including a table of contents, poems, prefaces, letters and postscripts, and miscellaneous writings. A Jangpangak, a hall for storing the woodblocks, was built in 1993 to preserve them.
