This is a white porcelain jar decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with chilbomun (seven-treasures motifs) and auspicious symbols. It has an upright rim, an expanded shoulder, and a body that narrows in a slender curve below the midpoint before continuing down to the foot. Against a glaze with a soft bluish tinge, the deep blue decoration is bold and harmonious. In cobalt blue, four double roundels are arranged on the shoulder, each containing a stylised rendering of the characters 壽福 ("longevity and good fortune"). Between the roundels, chilbomun motifs are painted to give the design variation and harmony. Two cobalt-blue bands encircle the body just above the foot, and above them floral scroll motifs (orchids) are painted in four places. Traces of fine sand supports remain on the foot; the body tilts slightly to one side as a result of firing, and fine crackling covers the entire surface. Overall, the decoration is bold and the composition open and well balanced, and the glaze has a good colour tone, suggesting that the piece was made at an official kiln. It can be regarded as a typical example of a standing jar (ipho) in underglaze cobalt-blue porcelain produced at the Bunwon kilns in the 19th century.
