Jongneungjaesa Temple
종릉재사 · 鍾陵齋舍

This building was erected in 1606, the 39th year of King Seonjo of Joseon, by Yeong-sun, a descendant of Yu Bin, to guard Yu Bin's tomb. Yu Bin passed the state examination together with Yi Bang-won (King Taejong of Joseon) at the end of Goryeo and went on to serve as Magistrate of Yeongheung. The building is made up of an L-shaped servants' quarters together with the Chuwonjae, the hall where ancestral rites are held, and the main hall (jeongchim), the whole forming an open square (ㅁ-shaped) layout, and it has the unusual feature of a door post fitted in the middle of the door frame. It is valued as a building that well preserves the appearance of a mid-Joseon jaesil, a memorial hall built to look after an ancestral tomb.
